Michael Condrey is co-founder and Studio Head of Development at Sledgehammer Games, developers of 2011's Action Game of the Year - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. He was previously Chief Operations Officer at Visceral Games and Sr. Development Director on 2008's Action Game of the Year - Dead Space. Other noteworthy credits from his decade-long tenure at Electronic Arts before joining Activision include EA’s James Bond series, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and FIFA among other titles.
Michael is responsible for the development of all titles at Sledgehammer Games, as well as the business operations of the studio. He drives the studio to achieve excellence in every aspect: world class entertainment software, studio culture, best in class development talent, profitability and company's financial health, and the state of the art facility, built to empower the team to do their best work.
Michael graduated with a dual B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Washington, with his senior thesis published in the Journal of Molecular Ecology. He has appeared on Spike TV, G4, MSNBC, CNN and MTV, and has been interviewed by USA Today, Time Magazine, Forbes, and a host of other media sites. He lives in San Carlos, CA.
