Hot off the heels of our DLC4 Reckoning release earlier this month, we’re incredibly excited to be releasing a new set of weapons for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare next week. On August 25th, we’ll be releasing the final set of Royalty Variants, including the MP11, SN6, AE4, and others. This date also marks the return of two fan-favorite weapons, the AK47 and the M16 Assault Rifles. We’re also bringing over the CEL-3 shotgun from Exo-Zombies over to multiplayer. These weapons will be available for all players on Xbox One first, and will be coming soon to PlayStation 4 and PC.

UPDATE: We've decided to hold the release of the AK47, M16, & CEL-3 weapons, and the Royalty V3 variants until September 1st on Xbox One. Stay tuned to more details early next week.

10/1/15 UPDATE: The AK47, M16, & CEL-3 weapons, and the Royalty V3 variants have been released for PS4 and PC.

Back by popular demand – the AK47 is returning to Call of Duty! This fan-favorite fully automatic Assault Rifle can deliver some great damage at close to medium range. Players will want to be careful and fire the weapon in short bursts to keep the recoil under control. The AK47 base weapon will be unlocked once you receive one of the five variants in a Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop.

M16

Also returning to Call of Duty – the M16! This three-round burst Assault Rifle offers a little more damage than the ARX-160, but adds a slightly longer delay between bursts. It’s a great weapon to use on long sight-lines, just don’t get caught off guard from someone flanking you, and be prepared with a solid secondary weapon if they get too close. Like the AK47, the M16’s base weapon will be unlocked for use in Create a Class once you receive a variant in a Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop. Be on the lookout for the stats of the five unique variants when they release on Xbox One next week!

CEL-3

The famed CEL-3 from the Exo-Zombies storyline from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is coming to multiplayer! This fully automatic directed energy shotgun functions very similar to how it is in Exo-Zombies. There’s a small delay between the first and second shot as the chambers on the CEL-3 turn, but if the trigger is held down after the 2nd shot it will have an increased fire rate. The base weapon of the CEL-3 will be available once you receive one of the two variants in a Supply Drop or Advanced Supply Drop. Let us know what you think of the weapon in multiplayer once you get the chance play with it!

Royalty Variants v3

In the last few months, we’ve released two sets of Royalty Weapons Variants [Set 1 & Set 2. This final set of Royalty Variants brings with it another unique weapon stat change: an increase of range. Weapons in Advanced Warfare do a set amount of damage per shot up until a certain range where the damage starts dropping off. This extension of range could help in situations where the enemy is just beyond the reach of the Elite variant the weapon is based on. Like the previous Royalty Variants, they will be available in both Supply Drops and Advanced Supply Drops on Xbox One starting August 25th. Check the full list of Royalty Variants v3 below.
