Sledgehammer Games Announces New Initiative in Social Entertainment

by Sledgehammer Games

Today at GDC 2013, Sledgehammer Games unveiled a new face for the development company - "Rubber Mallet Games," and announced that they would be pushing the initiative to "Connect Through Caring™." The studio team, comprised of 140+ developers, will be transitioning their efforts from developing AAA games over to mobile and social platforms to create games to connect players and fans on an intimate and emotional level. "GDC has always been the venue for bold and thought provoking initiatives in our space." stated Michael Condrey, Co-Founder and Studio Head of Development for Rubber Mallet Games. "The independent developer community has really opened our eyes to a different way of connecting with players sentimentally. It was natural we'd use this conference to unveil our new studio direction." The rebranding of Sledgehammer Games to Rubber Mallet Games™ has already begun to roll out over their social space, and the core idea behind the brand refresh is to make the team appear more "friendly, heartwarming, and adorable."

Rubber Mallet Games™ is extremely excited about their upcoming game, Glass, and expect to delight fans at E3 with its premier.
