Studio Expansion Blog - Part 1

by Sledgehammer Games

In the summer of 2009, Sledgehammer Games began as a dream of starting a development studio dedicated to world-class interactive entertainment and a commitment to a culture of excellence. Within 18 months, our team of nearly 100 developers co-developed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – 2011’s Action Game of the Year. In 2014, the team of 200 + filled our entire floor and delivered Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – 2014’s Top Selling Game.

Current day, the sky’s the limit and we’re literally pushing upward to take over the floor above us and redefine every aspect of our studio space. Our #beSHG hiring initiative is kicking ass alongside our recruitment team and we’re on a mission to expand to 300+ for our current Call of Duty project. In the process of expansion, we’re reimagining what great looks like and we invite you, the fans, to take that journey with us. Throughout the remainder of this year we’ll be updating with regular #SHGbuildout blogs (like this one) that share our progress, include links to some of the activities happening at the studio, and jobs opening up on our team. Thanks so much for following along with us over the years – our journey has just begun!
