Welcome to Vanguard Postseason

by Sledgehammer Games

What a year!

From the introduction of Task Force Vanguard to the villainous conclusion of our Seasonal updates and everything in between, we want to take a moment to thank each one of you for playing Call of Duty: Vanguard! Starting on November 16th, be on the lookout for changes to player progression, the Battle Pass, and more as we head into the Postseason.

Player Progression

The end of Season Five does not mark the end of player progression. Instead, your Season Level will persist, and the Season Level cap will increase to 2,500. This change will allow players to reach all 23 Prestige Levels and earn all 12 Prestige Master Ribbons. In addition, all Seasonal Challenges will be available to complete during the Postseason, regardless of your previous Season’s progression.

As always, player progression remains synchronized between Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Warzone.

Battle Pass

Once the Postseason begins, the Battle Pass will be disabled, and all Tier Skips will expire. Now is your chance to secure the limited-time loot.

Also included in the Season Five Battle Pass are two free Weapons, the EX1 and RA 225, unlocked at Tiers 15 and 31, respectively. Once the Battle Pass is disabled, these Weapons will become available to unlock via in-game challenges that you can complete in Multiplayer or Zombies at any time.

EX1 (Assault Rifle)

  • In Multiplayer, get 15 Hipfire Kills while moving.

  • In Zombies, get 100 Eliminations using Assault Rifles bought off walls.

RA 225 (Submachine Gun)

  • In Multiplayer, get 15 Headshot Kills.

  • In Zombies, use SMGs to eliminate 10 Sturmkreigers.

Featured Playlists

Featured Playlist updates are moving to a bi-weekly cadence, and what better time to start than now? Last week, we asked the community which Featured Playlists you’d like to see most. The results are in, be on the lookout for the winners in an upcoming Featured Playlists update.

Ranked Play

From the Beta in Season Two to the final Ladder in Season Five, Ranked Play has been an absolute success in Vanguard. We thank you, the players, and our dedicated partners across Sledgehammer Games, Beenox, and Treyarch. The passion from all teams and competitors makes the future of competitive play very bright, and we're not stopping here. We're excited to confirm that Ranked Play will continue in Modern Warfare II in 2023. Be sure to stay in the loop online, and we'll have more to share in the coming weeks.

  • Players can obtain any earned Season 5 Ranked Play rewards after the conclusion of the final Ladder until 10am PST / 1pm EST on Wednesday, November 23rd.
