Who We Are
constantly evolving
Founded in 2009 in Foster City, California, for over a decade Sledgehammer Games has been developing award-winning titles in the Call of Duty franchise. Since its inception, our team has expanded globally with the establishment of a studio in Melbourne, Australia in 2019, and Toronto, Canada, and Guildford, United Kingdom in 2021. As we navigate our 2nd decade of game development, we’re focused on constantly evolving, innovating, and taking risks – which are some of the most rewarding aspects of game development.
With world-class audio, design, engineering, and art teams, we’ve been able to achieve some of the highest-quality game execution of any studio in the industry. We love what we do and work hard to make sure that each new game we make is even better than the last. Join us on our quest to maintain and improve a healthy and inspiring studio culture.
We are looking for talented individuals who reflect the diversity of the world we serve. For over a decade, our greatest passion has been making AAA games and we are looking for creative minds that can help us continue to innovate into the future.
behind the curtain
Meet the artists, designers, engineers, animators, and many other folks that meticulously craft each element of our games. The SHG Developer Profile series highlights the incredible work every studio member puts into our games and the passion they bring to game development.
From Our Hammers
Senior UI Artist
Dare to Innovate is a value I strongly believe in. It's what makes Sledgehammer Games stand out from the rest. I feel motivated to constantly raise the bar and set new standards in the gaming industry. The best thing is everyone is on board and shares the same goal.
Multimedia Lead
What excites me most about our future as a studio is I've never seen so many positive cultural shifts happening all at once in my last 6 years at the studio. These cultural changes aren’t dictated from the top but are being driven by people at every level which really makes SHG a very special place to work every day.
Sr. UI Artist
We benefit from the studio itself: the atmosphere of the space is very light - literally. It's open, bright, airy - and I think that's conducive to creativity and generates a feeling of movement. It encourages people to walk around, speak to each other, and collaborate outside of the computer screen.
